Inter regional energy exchange: The French region ‘Centre’
14/02 | Centre is a region of France which is made up of six individual counties: Cher, Eure-et-Loir, Indre, Indre-et-Loire, Loir-et-Cher and Loiret. The region’s proximity to Paris and Ile de France, which are both large consumers of electricity, has greatly influenced its energy mix and led to a unique inter-regional energy exchange between the two regions. Centre also has a wide variety of energy sources, one of which, unbeknownst to many, is oil!
